The Delegation of Mahidol University (MU) led by Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, the Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, visited Tianjin Institute of Industrial Biotechnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (TIBCAS) on October 23, 2023. Prof. SUN Jibin, the Deputy Director-General of TIB, and related officers for International Cooperation and Industrial Cooperation received the delegation.

During the meeting, Prof. SUN Jibin on behalf of TIBCAS expressed welcome to the delegation. He introduced TIBCAS’s mission, research areas, research progress in various areas such as the biomanufacturing of pharmaceuticals, natural products, future food, chemicals and materials, and the progress on industrial Cooperation and international collaboration.  Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti made a comprehensive introduction to the MU, including its faculties and colleges, collaborating centers, joint units and so on. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, the Director of Institute for Technology and Innovation Management took the medical device as example, introduced the venture builder framework of the MU. The two sides held in-depth discussions on future cooperation and reached preliminary consensus on the form and content of cooperation.

During the visit, the delegation also visited the exhibition hall and Core Facility of TIBCAS, and the National Center of Technology Innovation for Synthetic Biology.
