On July 16, 2009, Dr. Eric C. Roos, Chief Technology Officer of Holland DSM Corp., and his three colleagues visited Tianjin Institute of Biotechnology and the construction site of the R&D building. Prof. Zhiyong Huang, head of Department of Research Administration of the TIB welcomed the guests and conversed intensively with Dr. Eric C. Roos et al. Prof. Huang introduced the progress of the construction of the R&D building, disciplinary layout of the TIB, expert recruitment, medium and long term development plans.The two sides exchanged opinions on the progress in establishing a joint laboratory. The visit of Dr. Eric C. Roos, CTO of Holland DSM Corp, will strengthen the cooperation of two sides in biotechnological area and speed up the establishment of joint laboratory.
