Our research focuses on the interdisciplinary frontiers of synthetic biology and metabolic engineering. Major research interests include elucidating the biosynthetic mechanisms of natural products, engineering subcellular compartmentalization strategies for synthetic metabolic engineering, establishing an Artificial Herbal Science System for the design and biosynthesis of multi-target natural product-based therapeutics, and developing advanced in vivo drug delivery systems for therapeutic applications.
