Education & Professional Experience

He graduated from the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Ph.D.) in 2007, and then joined Liaocheng University. He has successively served as an associate professor and head of the Department of Food Science. In 2011, he joined the Tianjin Institute of Industrial Biotechnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is now a Professor, doctoral supervisor, and head of the Industrial biosystem and bioengineering research group. He visited Washington State University in the United States from August 2015 to July 2016.

Honors and Awards

He has presided over more than 10 national, provincial and ministerial projects, obtained more than 30 authorized national invention patents, published more than 100 articles in well-known magazines such as Nature Communication, Biotechnology Advances, and was selected as a distinguished research post of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a member of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a coordinator of the bioenergy joint research group of COMSATS Industrial Biotechnology Joint Center, Member of the Industrial Fermentation Sub technical Committee of the National Standardization Technical Committee for the Food Industry, and editorial board member of the journal 'Fermentation'. Received the second prize of the National Oceanic Administration Marine Engineering Award and the second prize of the National Oceanic Administration Marine Science and Technology Award as the main completion person.
