Dr. Yao’s research interest includes the design, mechanism and application of novel biocatalytic reactions. He has developed lots of novel, efficient and green chemoenzymatic methods for the precise construction of chiral centers of important and complex molecules, which have been successfully applied to synthesize key intermediates of pharmaceuticals and materials, promoting the green upgrading of the production technologies of related drugs and materials.
Dr Yao has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers as the first or corresponding author in Nat. Chem.、Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.、ACS Catal.、Green Chem.、Chem Catal.、Sci. China Chem.、Chem. Sci., Org. Lett. etc., and filed over 10 patents.
