Introduction
The Laboratory focuses on applied basic research in the field of microbial biotechnology. Targeting at the national need on energy, environment and sustainability, we combine genomics, systems biology and synthetic biology to elucidate the molecular basis of microbial physiology and metabolic regulation, develop new methods and tools for biological networks modeling, biological design, metabolic pathway engineering, genomic engineering, evolutionary engineering, physiological engineering, rebuild the technology chain from genome to products, create highly efficient microbial cell factories and optimal processes for production of bio-based materials, biofuels, fine and bulk chemicals.
